The Artisan’s Escape in Newberg, Oregon is a retreat which is designed specifically for the woman who is looking to nurture her feminine side and replenish her creative energy. We will definitely take time to see a few waterfalls and beautiful scenery, but the bulk of our time during this retreat will be spent creating. Together, we will make artisan breads and cheeses and practice the art of creating eye-catching charcuterie boards. We will learn from local artisans and try our hand at a variety of crafts including pottery, painting, soap making, weaving or other curated creative activities.

As with all of our local retreats, you will be participating in the meal prep and cleanup as well as the sharing and connection with the group. This is not a retreat where you will be sitting around eating bon bons. . . . unless, of course, we decide to make them.

This artisan gathering is for the woman looking to fill her bucket and take in the healing power of art. You will find it to be a perfect mix of beautiful Oregon scenery, creative artistry, and meaningful connection with other women. Our goal is to send you home with a few new hobbies in your back pocket.

This is an artisan escape where we will fill your soul with as much beauty as we can fit into our five days. Beauty in Oregon definitely means a few waterfalls. We'll take a few hours and enjoy the upper and lower falls at Silver Falls State Park.

 

You'll need to come prepared to roll up your sleeves and try a new craft. Whether that's in the kitchen or in an artisan's workshop, you'll have lots of hands-on opportunities to get your hands dirty and nurture your creative side.

Our 5 day adventures will include:

  • An excursion to the waterfalls at Silver Falls
  • A variety of culinary artistry
  • A variety of local artisans teaching their craft
  • A food tour of some of our best Portland restaurants
  • A trip to Portland's famous Japanese Gardens
  • Painting and a wine tasting in the famous Dundee Hills
  • Some connected and meaningful time together as women nurturing our creative natures
